EVS has a Psychiatrist and several Psychologists on staff.  Each Counselor is assigned to no more than 15 students and all are readily available, as needed, in addition to weekly check-ins. We have a Positive Behavior Support program where students earn points during each class period that allow them to access school privileges such as bi-monthly class trips and 'purchase' items from the school's Reward Store.

EVS offers small class sizes and diverse, individualized instruction. Our curriculum is aligned to the NJ State Department of Education's Core Curriculum Content Standards. ESY is offered in July.  Students work with the school's transition coordinator and their counselor to develop necessary skills during their high school career that will enable them to pursue and achieve their goals following graduation.

Career path driven vocational classes that support education and innovation by providing students with a unique hands-on experience. is Cosmetology/ Barbering, Culinary Arts, Woodworking, Automotive Technology, Digital Media, Hydroponics, Horticulture & Landscape Design. Opportunitites for real-world experiences, work-study partnerships and the possibility to earn college credits.

Our Music Program offers students the opportunity to learn instruments, write, produce & record their own music in our music studio, Our Digital Media program includes photography, videography and graphic design. Our Visual Arts program includes experiences with various mediums such as painting, drawing, glass blowing, jewelry making, sculpting, Official Gaming/COMPSI Course & more!
